INTRODUCTION

 

Mount Edmund Secondary School is sponsored by Mr. Arjun Shamsher J.B. Rana and Mrs. Hema Agrawal. It is a Nepali Culture Oriented co-educational English Medium School. It was established in the year 2041 on 20th Paush. It is managed and maintained by a Committee of its own. Mount Edmund Secondary School believes in a child in school is entitled to as much happy life as is the adult outside.

TO PARENTS & GUARDIANS

    The smooth and successful running of a school, particularly in English

Medium School like ours, depends mainly on the mutual understanding and

cooperation between parents and the school. The common aim of both being all round development and welfare of children, where as a parent thinks of his own child. For that purpose the school frames certain rules and regulations and expects from

parents to be acquainted with these rules and regulations and help the school in their implementation.

AIMS

    The aim of the school is to promote all round education for the harmonious growth of all students, poor and rich alike, to enable them to lead a mentally and physically well balanced healthy life with full confidence and contentment to make them worthy citizens of Nepal and the world as a whole.

    Parents will be informed individually and periodically whenever considered desirable of the natural tendencies of their children and necessary guidance will be given to them for future studies and specializations.

PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL

    The school is dedicated for preparing conscientious and responsible citizens with a sense of integrity and honesty who will be imbued with a spirit of

adventure, exploration, research and creation.

    The school believes in the worth uniqueness of the individual and aims at fostering each individual potentiality and therefore, provides varied opportunities for successful learning and growth.

    The school tries to place the students in an intelligent and healthy

environment in which he/she might thrive and grow in relationship to the ideas,

problems and achievements of mankind. The school offers a program which aims towards an increasing acceptance of responsibilities by its studies.

    The school is adequately staffed with qualified teachers drawn from the various parts of Nepal and other countries to cover subjects.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

    The medium of instruction of the school is English, Children are encouraged to speak in English all the time.

    Nepali is also taught a main subject. Nepali is taught from the beginning as National Language.
